Welcome to DarkRubyMoon's Website! My name is Eric Ovelgone, and I go by the name DarkRubyMoon. I've worked using a wide range of mediums for my art and worked on a wide range of topics. I enjoy everything from country craft art and traditional oil painting to computer graphics. I work on a wide range of genre topics from traditional subject matter to fantasy, anime and pin-up art. I've worked using acrylic paint, watercolors, oils, pastels, pencil, color pencil, pen and ink, clay, wood, paper, computer graphics such as MS Paint, Adobe Paintshop and Photoshop, Corel Draw, etc, etc. I've had some minor recognition such as a painting on display in a local gallery and some minor art awards. I occasionally sell my artwork at local shows in the Maryland region. I will sometimes do commission work depending upon availability. If you are interested in having a work commissioned, please contact me with a detailed description of what it is you want done, and I will return with a price estimate for the work. Be sure to allow plenty of time for the work completion. Please note, several of my social media sites are currently down or inactive as of March 24th 2026. Meta has activated a flawed AI moderator which has blocked me from accessing my Facebook and Instagram websites. While I am attempting to correct this issue, it would seem that Meta no longer has human employees to request a review and so I may be unable to get back years of post. Due to disagreements with the new management and control of what was Twitter and now X, I have also discontinued that social media account. My Tumblr account will soon resume, but prior postings were lost do to a deletion error. Lastly, while my CafePress websites are still active, resent alterations to the display and functions of the host has lead to a cascade of broken links and hard to find items that are still available in my store. As a total re-do of my site could take years and with declining sales do to AI, it does not currently make sense to fix these issues. Please keep in mind, none of my art or stories utilize AI. AI's ability to render artwork is based on training from millions of artist stolen work and I refuse to use AI for creative endeavors as I find it unethical.
